Take Your Own Picture


Are these "Take Your Own Picture" booths still around? I haven't seen one lately! It took a while to locate these photos which were taken in the machine at Salem Willows. These are of my daughter and me, back in the early 1980's:

    i dont know why but i feel sad looking at these.....
    and i also think WOW you look 16 here! used to love those booths...i think they are in the big malls.

    I felt kind of sad looking through all of the stuff. Cats that died. I found an elementary school picture of my mother same size as the "take your own" which I'd like to use for an "Irene" collage.

    It's odd looking at photos of myself in my late 20's. There probably aren't too many of them. I was always the one with the camera.

    its strange if you think about it isn't it? to feel sad over the past...i wonder why that happens. maybe we see the vulnerability we couldn't have ever realized then?

    I think that's exactly right. I look at Marianne back then, so cute and innocent. NOW I can see that but back then life just moved so fast, one crisis after another.
